One of the capital’s best-loved bakeries will be opening on Christmas Day to serve up free coffee, pastries, and little bit of Christmas cheer to anybody that may need it. The Dusty Knuckle is a firm favourite on London’s bakery scene – but they’re not just filling tummies this Christmas; they’re filling hearts, too. The purpose-driven business will be opening its doors on Christmas Day, and welcoming in those that don’t necessarily find Christmas the most wonderful time of the year.
Helping to combat the festive struggles, Dusty Knuckle’s Dalston branch will be open between 10am and 1pm on December 25, so that anybody who needs to can pop in for a bit of support, a friendly face, or a natter over a nice cup of coffee and a sweet treat. The music will be playing, the heating cranked up, and there’s even talk of somebody dressing as Santa. If you do plan on popping in, please try and send them a quick message on Instagram to let them know, so that they have a rough idea of numbers.
Although there is no specific way to donate to help cover the Christmas costs, the Dusty Knuckle has a Youth Training Programme that helps young people who are facing significant barriers to employment, for which donations are always welcome.
