There are many exhibitions that give the feeling of stepping into an artist’s painting, using techniques like floor-to-ceiling projections and digital recreations. Dali : Cybernetics does all this and more. Coming to The Boiler House on Brick Lane this December, this world-first digital exhibition will not just use the aforementioned techniques, but also invite you into the ‘Dali metaverse’ to truly walk in his warped worlds. Get your tickets today to experience Dali : Cybernetics for yourself.
What is the ‘Dali metaverse’?
This 360-degree digital art exhibition will change the way you look at the surrealist works of Salvador Dali. The 90-minute exhibition uses sound effects, artificial intelligence and other digital techniques to bring the artworks to life, and for 15 minutes, you’ll be welcomed into the ‘Dali metaverse’. Each visitor will have a digital avatar, who’ll be able to walk around in the surreal, dreamlike space with total freedom of movement, interacting with fellow guests in real time.
Salvador Dali was well known for his mind-bending works, so it makes complete sense that his artworks are getting this reality bending treatment. Dali himself was a pioneer for the use of avant-garde techniques, and he strived to go beyond the limits of the reality that surrounds us; something that this exhibition follows too.
Dali : Cybernetics will be travelling Europe over the next four years, stopping in over 30 cities; from Munich to Manchester, Budapest to Bristol. There are even unconfirmed plans for a future tour in America and Asia-Pacific… For now though, you’ll be able to visit the exhibition right here in London between Wednesday and Monday each week once it opens. There is a range of ticket options and times for Dali : Cybernetics, so you can choose one that’s right for you and your group.
