Cutter & Squidge are taking their cakes east.
Well, this is a perfect way to have your cake and eat it. Smashing Soho bakery Cutter & Squidge, having served up sinfully good cake for years, are opening up a second bakery in the City of London. With a plum spot in the Royal Exchange all ready and waiting, this slice of the City is set to get even sweeter when the bakery moves in on February 11th. I mean, just look at what’s on offer!
Joining high-profile neighbours, including a swanky Fortnum & Mason restaurant, Cutter & Squidge will now be baking up treats in equally beautiful surroundings. From birthday bakes to macaroons, from brownies to ‘biskies’ (a kind of cake-cookie hybrid), they’ll have you drooling from the moment you walk through the door. Plus, a combination of natural ingredients and a restrained approach to fat and sugar means you can enjoy these cakes guilt-free, knowing they’re about as healthy as cakes can get. And healthy cakes are basically The Dream, aren’t they?
Handily, the new Cutter & Squidge spot will open just in time for Valentine’s Day. Knowing that the quickest way to your prospective lover’s heart is via their stomach, you’d be wise to pop in for a browse. Alternatively, a trip to the original Soho store gives you the opportunity to try out their incredible Harry Potter-themed afternoon tea experience, which is literally never a bad idea…
