Just because autumn is currently having a mild identity crisis doesn’t mean we can’t start getting excited for jumper-wearing, candle-lighting, pumpkin-picking, cosy season. That’s right: the smell of pumpkin spice latte is in the air and if you listen carefully enough, you just might hear the opening credits of Gilmore Girls being played in the distance.
Look, I know it may seem a little early to some of you but I’m not the only one getting excited for autumn; over at Cowcross Yards, they’re busy preparing to launch their urban pumpkin patch next month, just in time for Halloween.
Bringing a slice of countryside life to the heart of the capital city, Cowcross Yards will be transforming into a self-proclaimed autumnal haven. We’re talking seasonal colours, white picket fences and of course – a plethora of pumpkins and hay bales.
The pumpkin patch will be arriving in Cowcross Yards on October 25 for a week of pumpkin-picking, trick-or-treating fun, where visitors will be able to pick their own pumpkins in celebration of spooky season. Market goers will also have the chance to ‘pimp’ their mini pumpkin on October 25, with the help of Cowcross resident artists and London’s only government-approved graffiti artists, Graffiti Kings. They will be offering 50 free spray-painted mini pumpkins with bespoke Cowcross Yards-inspired designs on a first come, first served basis.
KERB food market will be running throughout the week between 11.30am-2.30pm, serving up some delicious street food for you to tuck right in to. Yum!
