Le Pont De La Tour have launched a Thames-side fondue feast to keep the festive spirit alive.
A lot of festive, wintery pop-ups have already packed up and popped down, but Le Pont De La Tour is just getting started. Introducing the Cheese Room, the new intimate dining experience found inside a cosy hut nestled on a beautiful terrace overlooking the Thames.
Cuddle up in a blanket as you admire gorgeous views of Tower Bridge, and indulge in a fondue feast served to you by your own private waiter. For £50 per person, you’ll get a welcome glass of Moët & Chandon champagne, half a bottle of red wine, and a three-course meal.
Gather up to three of your friends, and you’ll all get to try one of France’s oldest cheeses, Fourme d’Ambert, accompanied with chicory velouté and red Port shallots. For the main event, you can tuck into their signature fondue feast, complete with emmental and gruyere cheese, mixed with white wine. To top it all off, and probably send you into a food coma, there’ll be a warm, gooey chocolate fondant. Christmas, is that you?
The experience will run from now until January 25, with two lunchtime slots (one from 12pm and another from 2:30pm), and two evening slots (one from 6pm and another from 8:30pm). For more info and to book, head to Le Pont De La Tour’s website. You’ll find it at 36D Shad Thames, SE1 2YE.
