Whoever said that you can’t have it all has clearly (much like myself) never stepped foot inside Claridge’s. One of the city’s swankiest places to snooze; this oh-so elegant establishment has been perched proudly in the middle of Mayfair for the best part of two centuries. And not only does it have 269 gorgeous rooms and suites to its name, but it also boasts a restaurant, a reading room, a spa, a shop, a bar, a bakery, and – most recently – a flower shop.
Claridge’s Flowers
The ultra-fancy hotel’s ultra-fancy floral displays have long been oohed and aahed over. But the very first time ever, visitors will be able to take a bunch home with them, courtesy of the shiny new flower shop. Sat surreptitiously behind on the hotel, Claridge’s Flowers has recently set up shop on Brook’s Mews, giving guests (and those of who would never stand a chance of being able to afford a night at Claridge’s) a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the masters at work.

Fresh seasonal flowers will be delivered to the shop every single day, and British blooms will be the star of the show. From dahlias and delphinium to hyacinth and hydrangeas, each bunch will be created with the signature care and craftmanship that goes into the hotel’s breathtaking installations.
The vibrant new venue will also host a series of evening events, called ‘Flowers After Hours‘, where attendees can get stuck in to creating a floral display, under the watchful eyes of the in-house experts. It all sounds pretty blooming lovely to me, that’s for sure.

Founder, Richard Eagleton, said: “Claridge’s Flowers brings exceptional floristry and the legendary service of Claridge’s together in one very special flower shop. We can’t wait to meet our customers and community and create wonderful things for them, for years to come. It is an honour to become part of the history of this iconic hotel.”
Claridge’s Managing Director, Thomas Kochs, said: “I am delighted that Claridge’s Flowers is opening its doors to the community of Mayfair and more. Our guests and visitors talk to me at length about our floral installations, which are a core part of the hotel’s DNA. How wonderful that we can now allow them to take these same flowers home with them.”
