Cirque du Soleil are going big once more.
Renowned circus collection Cirque du Soleil have found a way to bring dazzling acrobatic feats to things as diverse as Avatar and the nation of Mexico, but I honestly think their latest show Corteo is the most audacious yet. Marking the passing of Mauro the clown with backflips instead of tears is perhaps a strange way to grieve, but you can be sure that this funeral parade will be one to remember. Read on for more, or get your tickets here.
Going very much down the ‘celebration of life’ route, Corteo promises to recall “rich, extravagant memories”, filled with all manner of tumbles, flips, and high-wire trickery.
To celebrate the life of Mauro, performers will partake in a festival parade filled with breathtaking athletic feats, all to honour a figure who brought merrymaking to the world.
This colourful procession heads to the O2 Arena from June 24th, but with tickets to Corteo on sale now and demand expected to be high, we’d recommend grabbing them before they start selling out. After all, life is there to be lived!
