There’s no denying that January can start to feel pretty grating, pretty quickly. With the novelty of the festive period well and truly worn away, we’re left with the shorter days and less happy-looking bank accounts.
With the dreaded Blue Monday falling on January 20 this year, Hummingbird Bakery is looking to help people forget about the start-of-year scaries for a second by offering up some deliciously sweet (and deliciously cheap) treats for you to tuck into.
At all six of their London locations, Hummingbird will be slinging cupcakes for just £1 in their bid to make Blue Monday pinker. And for them, ‘Pink Monday’ means tucking into – you guessed it – pink cupcakes, which is enough to raise the mood without breaking the bank.
It’s perfect timing too, since right about now we’re probably a little sick of the sweet stuff in the week after Christmas Day, but once January 20 rolls around our sweet tooth will sure enough be screaming out to us, and Hummingbird truly can provide an excellent taste.
And of course, if you loved your cupcake, the store does plenty more all year round to satisfy the cravings, with giant cakes, hampers, and more available to mark any occasion. They’ve even got a cake to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Peppa Pig, which is something we can certainly all get behind.
Blue Monday falls on January 20 this year, and you can pick up your £1 pink cupcake from Hummingbird bakery at any of their six stores. Find your nearest store here and claim yours on the day while stocks last.
