You might think you know the full story about the most famous names in the storied history of Rock N Roll, but there’s even more out there to learn and feast your eyes upon. This exhibition – running from November 1 until January 6 – by one of the most renowned music photographers, Scarlet Page, shows off many shots that have never been viewed by the public, and capture artists from Amy Winehouse to Keith Richards to Oasis.
But it is, of course, Courtney Love’s band, Hole that the name of the exhibition doffs its cap, with the titular Celebrity Skin pointing at one of the most recognisable anthems of the ’90s – and you can see never-before-seen shots of her as you stroll in. Afterwards, you can also be among the first ever to see shots of Lady Gaga and Velvet Revolver, where Slash spent his time crafting more hard rock anthems with Duff McKagan, Scott Wieland and co. during the days after quitting Guns ‘N’ Roses.

It doesn’t end there, either, with the entire exhibition at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith acting as a walk of fame of names that changed the course of music forever. There are intimate portraits of David Bowie, Amy Winehouse, and Keith Richards, as well shots of Flava Flav (Public Enemy); Keith Flint (The Prodigy); The Foo Fighters; My Chemical Romance; The Beastie Boys; Chris Cornell (Soundgarden/Audioslave); and many, many more.

Also on display are original artworks that collaborate with Scarlet Page, and are for sale at the exhibition, which include a limited edition print by Terry Pastor, David Bowie’s album cover artist as well as paintings by street artist Pegasus.

Speaking on the exhibition, Scarlet Page said: “I am deeply honoured to showcase my work, hosted by The Art Hound Gallery, alongside such extraordinary artists at this exhibition. Celebrating 30 years as a photographer, it’s a privilege to reflect on the intimate moments I’ve captured of some of the world’s greatest musicians.
“Riverside Studios, a venue with its own rich cultural legacy, feels like the perfect setting for this show. I’m excited to share these new, unseen portraits and collaborate with such brilliant creative minds in this iconic space.”

For a free exhibition, there’s a world of culture and history captured and displayed at Celebrity Skin, so go on in, gaze at the icons in a new light, and recognise the work of Scarlet Page. When you leave there’s only one song you’ll be blasting. So glad you could make it.
‘Celebrity Skin’, the exhibition of Scarlet Page’s photography, runs between November 1, 2024 – January 6, 2025 at Riverside Studios, 101 Queen Caroline Street, W6 9BN. Entry is free, and you can find out more here.
