Burley Fisher Books are spreading the good word!
Whether you’re currently self-isolating or fretting about the possibility of self-isolating, there’s probably one question at the forefront of your mind – namely, what the hell are you going to do with all that spare time? Whilst you could go deep into Netflix (and with 14 days to kill, we’re talking really deep), Haggerston bookshop Burley Fisher offers an alternative option. The lovely folks at the bookshop are helping Londoners in need by delivering books through the postbox! (Featured image: @leftbookclub)
Self isolating in hackney? Tell us the last book you read and enjoyed. We’ll send you a payment link and drop you a book through your letterbox this afternoon. 📚🚴♂️💊

It’s a brilliant little scheme to stave off boredom and expand your literary tastes, and with the bookshop delivering to your door, there’s no need to risk going outside. Honestly, I think I’d be more likely to get Deliveroo if they had books on the menu!
You can request books by email, tweet, or direct message, and Burley Fisher will be continuing the scheme throughout the week.
So, why not drop them a line and receive the greatest gift possible, in times of pandemic or not: the gift of literature!
Find Burley Fisher at 400 Kingsland Road, E8 4AA, or check out their website.
Whilst we’re on the subject of books, take a look at London’s loveliest libraries.
