Cheap eats are on the cards at Brixton Market this April.
Outdoor dining is coming back with a bang, and whilst the Eat Out to Help Out deal is being left in 2020, Brixton Market have unveiled their own initiative to entice the crowds back upon reopening on April 12. For a limited time only, the #BackToBrixton plan will see diners offered a 50% discount on food and drink at restaurants around the market, and we reckon it’s the perfect excuse to mosey on down and dive into al fresco dining for the first time in months!
Amongst the restaurants taking part in #BackToBrixton initiative are Franco Manca, Rudies, Sarap, Fish Wings & Tings, Honest Burger, Jalisco, Light of Africa, Baz & Fred, Kamone, and more. They’ll be opening along with non-essential retail and spots like hidden cocktail bar Lost In Brixton on Monday, April 12, and the 50% discount will be available for the opening week only – so you’ll need to be dining between Monday and Wednesday (April 14) to make use of it.
One final caveat to the deal: that 50% discount is up to a maximum of £10 per person, so don’t go thinking you’re getting the entire bill chopped in half. Still, it’s an excellent way to pick up a reasonable meal next week, and a fabulous way of supporting local restaurants as they reopen for the first time since December. Profits from the #BackToBrixton offer are being split between landlords and restaurants, so you can be sure at least some of your hard-earned is going directly to hard-working restauranteurs.
Elsewhere in the market, safety precautions in the form of testing and temperature checks for staff, stringent cleaning protocols, and more signage around the market will be utilised to keep everyone healthy during their visit. So, will you be heading back to Brixton next week?
