While Easter may be the very last thing on your mind right now as you focus on swerving past other shoppers on Oxford Street, there is always room for learning about some future joy. Next year, the Big Egg Hunt is coming to London, bringing more than 100 beautifully decorated eggs to the city to bask in the spring colour.
If you cast your minds back to earlier in 2024, you may remember the Little Egg Hunt taking place, and that was essentially a smaller event to get us ready for the larger-scaled version to come in 2025!
The Big Egg Hunt
Brought to us again by the Royal Charity Elephant Family, which works towards protecting Asian Wildlife, the eggs will be scattered around for more than a month between March 24 – April 27, 2025. You’ll be able to catch designs from the likes of Anya Hindmarch, Fortnum & Mason, Jimmy Choo, and Mr Doodle scattered around the whole city as it turns the capital into a six-week hunting ground for the expertly crafted eggs.
The Big Egg Hunt started life in 2012 when more than 200 eggs were scattered around the city, but the fundraiser took a long hiatus before the Little Egg Hunt reignited the event last year around the streets of Chelsea. Come March 2025, it’ll be a more wide-reaching affair and a brilliant way to spend a day out in the city hunting for over 100 different eggs.
The Big Egg Hunt will be decorating the streets of London from March 24 – April 27 and it’s all completely free to view. It’s brought to us by Elephant Family, alongside Clarence Court eggs, which you can read more about here.
