A beer garden is probably not the first thought to come to mind when looking for a festive venue in the middle of winter in London, but prepare to be pleasantly surprised as Between The Bridges is getting a festive makeover that’ll make you consider if beer gardens are reserved just for summer hangouts.
Between The Bridges has announced the return of Electric Winter, a free-entry festive venue on Southbank that boasts street food galore, warming winter tipples, and a lively events calendar like you wouldn’t believe. Named after its location; tucked between Waterloo Bridge and Westminster Bridge, Electric Winter at Between The Bridges is set to open on Friday November 10 and runs until Saturday December 23 and spread a hefty dose of festive cheer.
In the warmer months, the venue has a mix of indoor and outdoor areas but for Electric Winter all venues will be heated, roofed and winter-proofed to keep guests cosy and comfy – just the way we like it. Decked out with giant baubles and snowflakes, canopies of twinkling lights, and lashings of Christmas foliage, Electric Winter is set to be the ultimate destination for food, drinks, and fun.
Live DJs will be on from Thursday to Sunday each week along with weekly themed craft markets every Sunday. There’ll be plenty of choice for grub with a delightful street food line up which includes Chick’n’Sours, Bang Bang Burger, BBQ Dept, Made of Dough, La Cocinita, The Duck Shed, and Papi Chulo. Drinks will be happily flowing with Christmas cocktails, craft beer, mulled wine and more on offer.
Electric Winter will be an entertainment hotspot this winter with regular events up the wazoo. Kicking off the festivities on opening night is Barrioke with the icon that is Barry from EastEnders live on stage for a night of karaoke, followed by a Drag Show Brunch the following night with live performances from stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. Other events to look forward to are the Hakka Show, Swiftogeddon: The Taylor Swift Club Night, Drag Emo Karaoke, Old Dirty Brasstards Christmas Anthems, and On Shenanigans: LDN’s Biggest Game Night, and heaps and heaps more.
