It’s easy to think that going to the BBC Proms would be a wallet-emptying affair, but there is a fantastic hack that can get you tickets for under a tenner, and this time, it helps to be last-minute!
That’s right… you can attend the world-famous BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall for just £8, which is an absolute steal in a city known for being on the pricier side – especially when it comes to live music.
This annual event celebrates the very best of classical music, welcoming incredible orchestras, unmissable artists, seasoned fans, and total newbies, with the festival famed for making the stereotypically elitist genre accessible to a broader audience.

How to get cheaper tickets for the BBC Proms
This special £8 ticket is an exclusive price for their ‘promming’ tickets. Promming means attending in the standing areas, with tickets released on the day of each concert.
Around 1,000 tickets are released online at 10:30am every day of the Proms for each performance. You can only buy two tickets and it’s first-come, first-served, so get those alarms at the ready!
The standing tickets are in the Arena (right below the stage) and in the Gallery (up top), giving you a unique perspective of the performance no matter where you stand. If you prefer to be close-up, try to snag Arena tickets, where you’ll be just metres away from the world’s best orchestras.
There is even a select number of seats reserved for those who are not able to stand through the entire performance, making this fabulous offer a little more accessible.
