You know you’re good when you can dish out two works of art in the blink of an eye, and that’s exactly what Banksy has done here. Lightning has struck twice for fans of the street artist’s work, after the elusive painter, with two works popping up on the walls of London in the space of as many days.
Coming hot on the heels of his goat artwork on August 5, it only took 24 hours for the pair of elephants to follow suit today. Safe to say Banksy is… up to something.
Yesterday, we saw a goat standing on the edge of a surface, cleverly painted onto a piece of wall sticking out. This time, it’s two elephants coming out of blocked-up windows and pointing their trunks at one another – and it’s thought to be painted onto a house in Chelsea.
Taking to Instagram to unveil both pieces, they are similar in style and, of course, both depict animals, so could there even be more to come?
That’s all to be found out, but as with yesterday’s Instagam post, it has been presented without comment from Banksy, which has led to speculation on the meaning behind the artwork.
Will we get another animal tomorrow? We’re done trying to second guess Banksy at this point, but check back here all the same!
