Whoever said that the city comes alive at night has clearly never been to a boozy brunch. Day parties are far more appealing. Let’s think about it – you wake up feeling fresh, lively and raring to go. The unconventional decision to get a bit tiddly when the sun’s still up always has a mischievous feel to it. Best of all, come 10pm (don’t judge us) you can roll into bed, completely satisfied, a little drunk and totally able to sleep through any hangover. And as it’s a Bank Holiday weekend, you’ll have even longer to recover (just to do it all again the next day…)
1. Apres Ski Party @ Rumpus Rooms
Luxury events team Brosé will be taking over the 12th floor rooftop bar of Mondrian Hotel to throw one hell of a party on the April bank holiday. Their brunch party will run from 11:30am-5.30pm on Saturday 30th April. The Rumpus Room will be transformed into a ski chalet where they will host their Aprés Ski London pop-up, which will include snow cannons, mulled wine, ski lifts, mountain food and maybe the odd reindeer. Music will be provided by DJ royalty Miguel Campbell. Tickets start at £22.50 and can be bought here. *No ski equipment required.

3. M. A. D. Festival by Move
Bringing you the best electronic music! On 1st May, Move are putting on M.A.D. Festival, one of the biggest events on the 2016 clubbing calendar. Taking place at Cargo, a venue located in an urban disused railway yard (it’s obviously in Shoreditch), M.A.D (Music and Dance) Festival boasts over four floors of electronic music featuring some of the finest MOVE resident DJs and many more guests. Beginning at noon, the whole last event lasts an extravagant 17 hours. Thank god you’ve got Monday off work! Buy your tickets for £10 on Fever.
4. Little Nan’s Tropical Den
Due to popular demand, Little Nan has extended her stay at the secret basement rooms at the Golden Anchor Caribbean pub, between Nunhead & Peckham. You can book yourself in for 2 hour slots, in which you’ll be able to drink from bottomless teapot cocktails and unlimited pic’n’mix for those of you with a sweet tooth. For more info and to check availability, go to their website.
5. Hip Hop High Tea
Forget The Savoy, Pond in Dalston are bringing us High Tea with a Hip Hop twist. If you go all out and get yourself a fully-loaded cake stand, you’ll be nibbling on delicious Hawaiian themed sweet treats and snacks. The drinks have been designed by Manhattans Project and will be served in teapots (faaaarncy). The entire afternoon, which kicks off at 2pm on Sunday 1st May, will be accompanied by old school hip hop beats, so you can sip on your rum-filled bone china in style. It’s £5 for entry and a drink on the house, which you can purchase through Fever.
