Finding activities to keep the whole family entertained can be quite the feat, but something truly magical will be opening its doors just in time for the Easter holidays. Following the success of the Avora cocktail adventure, the Hoxton-based immersive experience will welcome younger visitors, aged 6–13, to explore the fantastical extraterrestrial planet, starting on April 2. Swapping cocktails for sensory games, but keeping the same fascinating feel as its adult counterpart, Avora: Family Immersive Adventure makes for a fantastic family day out.
What can you expect at Avora: Family Immersive Adventure?
Avora was created by the team behind London’s famed Alcotraz cocktail experience, so first things first, you know the set design is on point. If you’re unfamiliar with the story here, basically Avora is a bountiful new world where plants and alien lifeforms thrive, accessed via a portal in a lab back on Earth. Before you venture into Avora, a greedy CEO will brief you on a mission – will you choose to stick with it? With mesmerising spaces recreating a lush green planet, spell-binding bioluminescence tumbling from the ceiling, and an intriguing laboratory area, there are plenty of areas to capture memories with your family.
Over the course of an hour and a half at Avora: Family Immersive Adventure, both young and old will be able to put their senses to the test during fun, interactive sensory games, interact with botanists and ‘Avorians’ (residents of the planet), and enjoy two unique drinks (non alcoholic, of course), one of which can be mixed by participants. You’ll all dress up in custom jumpsuits (adults) or jackets (children) too – perfect for the Instagram snaps or TikTok vids, and creating long-lasting family memories.
Avora: Family Immersive Adventure will be open every Sunday between 12pm – 3.30pm, and on weekdays during school holidays. The experience will unleash imagination and inspire the younger members of the group. The team behind the experience, Avora and Inventive Productions, have partnered with UK environmental organisation, Ecologi, and will be planting a tree for every Avora experience ticket sold.
