You may be familiar with the Avora cocktail adventure from the team behind the famed Alcotraz experience. Well, they officially have family friendly sessions. Rest assured, while Avora: Family Immersive Adventure doesn’t serve alcoholic cocktails, tickets to the experience will serve up a visit to another world (from the comfort of London’s Hoxton), exciting sensory games, and a fantastical immersive experience aimed at children aged 6–13 – plus those young-at-heart adults who accompany them.
What is the storyline at Avora: Family Immersive Adventure?
The story of Avora: Family Immersive Adventure starts at ‘Roscorp Laboratory’, where the CEO will brief you on a mission. Then, alongside a botanist, you’ll enter this new world, donning a custom jumpsuit or jacket, no less. This out-of-this-world experience will truly come to life with lush flora, glowing bioluminescence, and generally beautiful set design. The actors will help create an unforgettable experience for the whole family, encouraging your group to engage in fun sensory games, sip on two unique drinks (non alcoholic, obviously), and learn more about the Avorians who live on the planet. While on Avora, will you and your family decide to stick with your assigned mission, or join the Avorians in their quest instead?
Tickets to Avora: Family Immersive Adventure are available for sessions every Sunday between 12pm–3.30pm, and on the weekdays during school holidays. Each session lasts a total of 90 minutes, which will take you from the laboratory to the new world and back – pretty decent timeframe for this kind of travel, eh.
While the experience encourages imagination in younger visitors, the Avora: Family Immersive Adventure also touches on themes around global warming and taking care of our planet too. The team behind the family experience, Avora and Inventive Productions, have partnered with an environmental organisation, Ecologi, and will be planting a tree for every Avora experience ticket sold.
