With the arrival of the seasons, festivities, and holidays, one of the greatest joys is seeing how London changes. Whether it’s the leaves changing and the flowers blooming through autumn and spring, or decorations stringing themselves up around the city, London just always looks so pretty and festive. And one place that always gets fully into the celebratory mood is Mayfair’s Annabel’s, where a delightful facade is almost always in place to bring joy and cheer to passers-by. Well, with London’s Christmas lights criss-crossing streets, and Christmas trees abounding on every street corner, the Christmassy new Annabel’s facade has finally been revealed. And what a festive stunner it is!
Annabel’s Christmas Facade
A carousel of dreams is now emblazoned across the front of the Mayfair member’s club, bringing light and cheer to Berkeley Square. Inspiration for the design, from The Birley Clubs Creative Director Tatiana Kharchylava, comes from inside Annabel’s itself. Features, such as the Pegasus that hangs in the reception area and greets guests, have been transported outside and given a festive touch. Inspiration for the Annabel’s Christmas facade has also come from vintage fairground rides. With an exterior like this, who even needs to head inside?
Their Pegasus installation will no doubt draw comparisons to sketch’s recent festive makeover, which also finds a Pegasus inspired piece dominating The Lecture Room & Library restaurant. However, we think there’s enough room in London for plenty more Pegasuses and delightful Christmas displays.
Running alongside the new facade, Annabel’s will also be hosting a toy and clothing donation initiative. The initiative will find the club working with The Tower Hamlets Hub via The Caring Family Foundation. Annabel’s members will be encouraged to support the cause by making donations through December.
Annabel’s’ Christmas facade will be on display until January 4, 2023. And no doubt it’ll soon be all over all of your socials as well!
