With the arrival of the seasons, festivities, and holidays, one of the greatest joys is seeing how London changes. Whether it’s the leaves changing and the flowers blooming through autumn and spring, or decorations stringing themselves up around the city, London just always looks so pretty and festive. One place that always gets fully into the celebratory mood is Mayfair’s Annabel’s, where a delightful facade is almost always in place to bring joy and cheer to passers-by.
Well, with London’s Christmas lights now crisscrossing the streets, and Christmas trees abounding on every street corner, the Christmassy new Annabel’s facade has finally been revealed. And what a festive stunner it is!
Annabel’s Christmas Facade
Central to the new display is the unmissable hot air balloon that stretches over and beyond the building’s three floors. The entrance to Annebel’s has been incorporated such that those entering the member’s club do so by climbing aboard the hot air balloon.
Accompanying the impressive sight is an array of bright glowing stars that have been scattered across the front of the building.
According to the team behind the new display, the installation “serves as a symbol of hope and inspiration in a year where the world has faced many difficulties and hardships”. The designer, Birley Club’s Creative Director Tatiana Kharchylava, was “inspired by the idea that anything is possible when we come together we can rise above the difficult times and challenges ahead”.
But it’s not just the outside that’s been transformed into a festive feast for the eyes. Inside, members and guests are greeted by a stunning iridescent floral display. Tumbling lights, flowers, and a roaring fireplace make up a scene fit for a festive fairytale. And let’s not forget about the iconic Anabel’s unicorn which hangs overhead!
Annabel’s x The Caring Family Foundation
Running alongside the unveiling of the new facade is the annual partnership between Annabel’s and The Caring Family Foundation. They’re working together to “bring hope and love directly to children through the ‘Food from the Heart’ campaign”. Their work together in past years has seen them provide 2.3 million meals to children around the globe. All guests are invited to support their mission to tackle child poverty and food insecurity.
The Annabel’s Christmas facade will be on display until January 2024. And no doubt it’ll soon be all over all of your socials as well!
