American Football are coming back to these shores in the summer, having announced a pair of shows in London and Leeds, as well as mainland Europe gigs in Italy, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
They’ll play a headline show in the capital at the Kentish Town Forum on Saturday, June 27, with support from Marconi Union.

For the shows, American Football are working with PLUS1 to donate £1 (and €1/$1 for shows in mainland Europe and the US) for every ticket sold to Safe Passage International and The Illinois Coalition for Immigration & Refugee Rights, who both work to fight for and protect rights for immigrants.
American Football grew a huge cult following after the release of their first EP (American Football EP) and album (American Football) in 1998 and 1999, respectively, with many of their fans discovering the band during their 15-year hiatus, which followed the latter’s release. They returned in 2014, playing their first ever UK shows and releasing their long-awaited follow-up album, American Football LP2, in 2016. In 2019, they then returned with American Football LP3, which featured vocals from Hayley Williams on the single, Uncomfortably Numb.
In 2024, they celebrated the 25th anniversary of their first LP by playing it in full on a UK tour, which included a gig at the Roundhouse in Camden,
When do tickets to see American Football go on sale?
General sale tickets to see American Football go live on Friday, February 6 at 10am. Several pre-sales have commenced for the shows already, and another through Spotify begins at 12pm today (February 5).
