They say the best things come in threes, and when it comes to the casting of a West End play, this one certainly fits the bill. Bryan Cranston, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, and Paapa Essiedu have all been announced to star in Ivo Van Hove’s West End production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, which will be hitting the Wyndham’s Theatre from November 14 until February 7, 2026.
Cranston will play Joe Keller from Miller’s original 1947 tale, a businessman whose former partner was jailed for selling defective equipment to the US Air Force, but escaped punishment himself. Marianne Jean-Baptiste will play his wife Kate Keller with Paapa Essiedu playing their son, Chris.
Speaking on the news, Ivo Van Hove said: “I am thrilled to return to the West End to direct All My Sons and to reunite with the great Bryan Cranston. It is also a privilege to collaborate with the brilliant Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Paapa Essiedu, whose work I have long admired.
“We all share a deep reverence for Arthur Miller’s powerful storytelling, and bringing this profound play to life with such an extraordinary cast is truly a dream come true. All My Sons is a devastating exploration of guilt, responsibility, and the far-reaching consequences of our choices, especially in times of war. Its themes of personal integrity and moral reckoning remain as urgent and resonant today as ever.”
The production of All My Sons, marks Van Hove’s third take on Arthur Miller plays, having previously helmed A View From A Bridge and The Crucible in London and on Broadway. This also marks a reunion between the director and Cranston, with the actor starring in Network.
