The London Marathon has definitely inspired us to take up a running challenge of our own and the Shoreditch 10k is right up our street!
And while the sun’s shining and the sky is blue, we’re determined to spend as much time outside as possible. Maybe it’s understandable, as we’re so sun-deprived for the rest of the year…but if it gives us the motivation to eat a healthy breakfast and go for a run, then we’re all for it. And London being the beautiful city it is means that we’re determined to spend this summer exploring more of it while simultaneously improving our fitness.
And if you needed any further motivation to see the sights of London via your own two feet this summer, we’ve got just the thing: The adidas City Run Shoreditch 10K. It’s lengthy enough so that you’ll have to train for it, but not so long that you’ll feel defeated before you’ve even begun. 2019 will be the third edition of this vibrant event and you’ve got until Sunday July 14 to prepare for it. And if that wasn’t enough, you’ll also find a nifty Secret London discount code further down!
You might remember a couple of months back that we mentioned the adidas City Run: 1 hour. If you took part in this run, then why not push yourself even further and sign up for the Shoreditch 10k? If you missed out on the St Paul’s route in April, now’s the chance to make the most of these sunny days by signing up to take part in the next event in the series.
The Shoreditch 10k is an amazing opportunity to explore the streets of east London on closed roads. Yep, that’s right, you and thousands of runners will have the roads all to yourselves!. It’s a flat route that winds through some of the most eclectic corners of the borough of Hackney, it’s perfect for a new PB if that’s what you’re after!
This route has been designed to showcase the very best of one of London’s most vibrant areas. From Hoxton Square packed full of bars, restaurants and art galleries through to the beautiful tree-lined streets in Dalston’s De Beauvoir, it’s a route that you’ll want to jog through again and again. En route, you’ll pass iconic street art, local supporters lining the streets and DJ’s dropping all the motivational tunes you need as you make your way to the finish line located in Shoreditch Park where the party awaits.
When you buy your ticket, you’ll also get a free adidas tech t-shirt, free personalised race photos (new Insta shot, anyone?), a medal and the chance to take part in bespoke training sessions led by adidas Runners London. There are plenty of useful training plans on the adidas website, if you’re stuck on where to begin.
