Listen up, Londoners, because I come bearing some new that’ll be sure to pique every Pokémon-lovers interest. Our big, bright, brilliant capital city is officially set to boast the beloved brand’s first physical retail space outside of Asia. And it’s set to be up and running by the end of the decade.
Of course, London isn’t exactly a stranger to the world of Pokémon. A plethora of pop-ups have – temporarily well… popped up in London over the years, drawing in crowds of keen ‘Trainers’ from near and far. This shiny new retail space will be a permanent bricks-and-mortar destination, boasting a variety of exclusive merchandise and one-of-a-kind experiences.
The London store is currently scheduled to swing open its doors by 2029, and will come as part of a series of stores that are scheduled to set up shop outside of Asia. Aside from that, the details around this new Pokémon destination are fairly limited – but we will, of course, keep you in the loop as we find out more.
Gaku Susai, Chief Product and Experience Officer at The Pokémon Company International, said: “We are always exploring new opportunities that help us create unique and memorable experiences for our fans. This new London store will give visitors the chance to step into the world of Pokémon, whether they’re discovering the brand for the first time or have been Trainers for years. We hope it becomes a place where everyone can come together, feel like part of a community and enjoy the magic of Pokémon in a whole new way.”
