Minecraft enthusiasts will soon be able to dive head first into a world of blocks and biomes as a hotel dedicated entirely to the best-selling video game of all time will be landing in London next year. The Minecraft World Hotel will be home to almost 70 themed rooms, allowing guests to be transported to straight to some of the beloved game’s most recognisable environments.
Minecraft World Hotel
Setting up shop at Chessington World of Adventures in 2027, the Minecraft World Hotel will span four floors, boasting 20 premium and 49 standard rooms. Bringing the game’s distinctive biomes to life, every nook and cranny of the establishment will be jam-packed with the characters, colours, materials, and mobs that Minecraft-lovers know and love.
Providing an immersive space for buffs and beginners alike, the Minecraft World Hotel comes courtesy of Merlin Entertainments and Mojang Studios. Alongside the abundance of bedrooms, the hotel will also feature an underwater-themed restaurant inspired by Minecraft’s ocean biomes as well as a bar that pays homage to the ‘Woodland Mansion’.

The Minecraft World Hotel will be located on the site of the shiny new Minecraft World attraction, which will also be swinging open its doors at Chessington next year. The rather hefty £50 million project will be the first fully immersive Minecraft theme park, and will come complete with the world’s first Minecraft-themed rollercoaster, ‘Escape the Nether’.
Angela Jobson, SVP of Global Brand at Merlin Entertainments, said on the opening of the theme park: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be bringing Minecraft’s creativity, bold adventures, and ridiculous fun to life at a theme park for the first time at Chessington World of Adventures.
“Minecraft World will allow friends and families to play, explore and craft together on a truly epic scale. Working closely together with Mojang Studios we are meticulously creating an authentic world that the global community of Minecraft fans will want to immerse themselves in and experience the game in a whole new way.”
