Some restaurants have sprawling menus, full of a variety of dishes to tempt any tastes. Others, meanwhile, keep it short and sweet with a curated selection of dishes that they execute with impeccable precision. And yet others are so confident in their food that they might only have one dish on the menu. Such is the case with one of London’s newest openings that’s hitting the city next month, when Jones’ Crumpets opens up a dedicated crumpet cafe.
This October, the crumpet makers will open up a permanent site in Notting Hill. This crumpet cafe will allow guests to enjoy what was described by The Guardian’s Anna Berill as “quite simply, the best crumpets you’ll ever buy”.
The cafe will feature a menu of crumpet-based dishes, as well as grab-and-go offerings. And yes, for fans of the brand who are asking, the cafe will serve all of the Jones’ Crumpets flavours: Classic, Double Cheese, Cheese & Chive and Dark Chocolate.
At the crumpet cafe
The cafe will serve a menu with sweet and savoury options, inspired by seasonality and Jones’ commitment to sourcing premium ingredients. The rotating menu will feature one “hero breakfast dish” as well as two further savoury offerings, and a sweet option.
And if you’re just popping in to grab a crumpet-to-go, there will be a revolving selection of house-made toppings. They’ll be serving Allpress coffee and a selection of soft drinks to wash it all down – whether you’re grabbing a table or heading to a nearby park bench.
The new site is the latest development for the brand. Currently, you can find their crumpet-y wares being sold in delis and speciality shops across the city. And now, you can enjoy them in a proper crumpet cafe.
