If you haven’t already heard, there’s a heatwave heading for London this week, culminating with a scorcher of a Friday with temperatures hitting 29°C. All that can be read of this is that it is absolutely the optimum time for ice cream, and these twins are on hand to give out free scoops to fellow kids who need a cool down.
Marnie and Mylah, who went viral for calling out the ‘£9 ice cream’ for being too expensive are going to be down at the South Bank this Friday (July 19) to give out free ice cream.
It comes in celebration of the pair’s partnership with Merlin Entertainments to launch summer savings on kids tickets throughout the holiday season. This includes 50% off for children at indoor spots including Madame Tussauds and Cadbury World, as well as £19 tickets for kids at theme parks including Alton Towers and Thorpe Park.
Marnie and Mylah will be touring the UK in an ice cream van, which is hitting London on its first stop to park outside Merlin attractions including the London Eye, Shrek’s Adventure!, the London Dungeon, and SEA LIFE London Aquarium.
To mark the occasion, the twins have designed their own ‘money can’t buy’ pink ice creams, complete with the classic multicoloured sprinkles. The first 100 kids to turn up and say hi will receive an ice cream on the house – it’s as easy as that!
Speaking on the tour, the newly-appointed Chief Pocket Money Protection Officers at Merlin Entertainments, Marnie and Mylah, said: “We are so excited to be giving out free ice creams to kids during the summer holidays at some Merlin attractions across the UK – so come and say hi!
“Kids’ pocket money doesn’t always go as far as we’d like these days – and we should know – so we told the bosses at Merlin and they have come up with some special priced kids’ tickets for their amazing attractions, because kids always deserve brilliant school holidays! Make sure you check them out!”
