Calling all truffle-lovers, wine enthusiasts, and passionate foodies! Next month, you can enjoy a two day celebration of two of Italy’s finest delicacies at Eataly London. Taking place on November 6-7, the Wine & Truffle Festival will give you the opportunity to meet renowned Italian wine producers, take part in live producer tastings, sample exquisite seasonal dishes, and much more.
What to expect
The shift to autumn calls for a little indulgence, whether it’s the rich earthiness of a truffle pasta or a delicious full-bodied wine. Expect over fifteen wine and food stations across two floors, and throughout the festival each will be hosted by a producer who’s travelled from Italy to share their expertise and craftsmanship with you. From sumptuous reds to delicate whites, you’ll be tasting your way through Italy’s most renowned regions – and you’ll be given plenty of tasty truffle creations to enjoy along the way.
To give you a taste of what’s to come, La Tua Pasta’s chestnut tagliatelle with truffle butter will make the wine’s flavour notes sing. You can also snack on lasagna, woodfired pala, Fassona roast beef with truffle, and even mini truffle burgers. There’ll also be complimentary truffle crisps and grissini at the bar, along with a selection of sweet Italian desserts.
For those wanting to get involved in the wine and truffle festivities as soon as possible, there will also be an exclusive ‘Meet the Producer Barolo Wine Tasting’ on November 5 at 6:30pm. Poured by the producers themselves, you’ll get to sample four barolo wines, paired with irresistible truffle infused tasting dishes. The event will be hosted at Cucina del Mercato, but spaces are limited, so book your spot now.
How it works
Once you’ve decided which day you want to attend, you can buy a ticket bundle that gives you a certain number of tokens, along with an Eataly wine glass and a pouch to keep it in. As you explore, you can redeem your tokens for a single wine tasting (1 token) or a premium wine tasting (2 tokens). Note that Barolo wine tasting tickets are sold separately. And if you decide you want to take part in more tastings on the day, you’ll have the option to buy more tokens. You can arrive any time from 5pm-9pm, with wine stalls closing at 10pm and food stalls closing at 9pm.
