On the hunt for some artwork to spice up your home interiors? Or maybe you’re an art enthusiast hoping to see creations from some of the city’s most talented artists? Well, the Wimbledon Art Fair, which returns on November 16-19, has got you covered. Wimbledon Art Studios are once again opening their doors to Londoners (and visitors) to peruse artwork from over 150 artists and makers. The fair gives guests the opportunity to browse thousands of original and affordable artworks and meet the artists themselves, and if any pieces take your fancy, you’ll be able to purchase them directly from their creator.
While the event is totally free to attend, if you pre-book your tickets via the Wimbledon Art Fair website, you’ll be in with a chance to spend £200 at the fair and gain exclusive access to the online Mini-Masterpieces sale on November 1 which features over 150 original artworks.
What makes the Wimbledon Art Fair unique?
Wimbledon Art Fair beckons one and all, whether you’re an art-loving amateur, or connoisseur and collector – they’re about making art accessible for everyone. The range of art on sale is diverse and original, suitable to a plethora of budgets and tastes, and created by both award-winning artists and emerging talent. Works from painters, ceramicists, photographers, and everything in between will be showcased.
What’s more, the artists will be opening the doors to their art studios to allow guests to step inside their working studios, giving them a rare glimpse into their creative process. It’s an opportunity to go beyond the gallery display walls where the artwork is just one piece of the story and engage in meaningful conversations with the artists to learn about their inspirations and techniques.
On the grand opening night (Thursday, November 16) of this four-day fair, shoppers can indulge in complimentary drinks and listen to live music, as they amble between the thousands of breathtaking photographs and original paintings. Creative workshops, which run throughout the show, are available to take part in, as well as an on-site studio cafe, which is a great spot if you want to grab a bite to eat, or need to take a moment to digest the beauty of the incredible pieces you’ve seen.
