When it comes to interior design, looks are everything. But what if there was a little more to it than meets the eye?
Between 19-22 May, Westfield London is hosting ‘Healthy Home’, a pop-up that will inspire visitors to rethink their living environment. Oliver Heath is a renowned sustainable and wellbeing designer, who focuses his designs around increasing human connections with nature. Yep, that’s right, this pop-up is the ultimate home-design course.
This evidence based approach is part of Heath’s vision to support mental and physical wellbeing through a built environment – so that cheese plant you bought at Columbia Road flower market might have been more of an investment than you thought!
Throughout a series of interactive room sets, you will learn how to enhance your living environment in a way that benefits your overall health. Wander through the enchanting garden before making yourself right at home in one of the exemplar living, dining or bedrooms. You can also see great examples of how to create the perfect tranquil work and exercise space.
Each room set in the tour will provide top tips on how you can boost your wellbeing, plus you can see for yourself how these exciting products and design techniques work. You will also learn about biophilic acoustics, blue space theory, natural eco paints and circadian lighting. Bring on becoming a design guru!
Why not transform your front room into a serene sanctuary with natural eco paints from Yes Colours and some gorgeous greenery from Patch Plants? If you need inspiration, look no further. Biotecture has created an amazing green wall installation, highlighting the importance of greenery to home wellbeing. Lush!
Or give yourself the gift of a ‘personal sunrise’ with a Lumie light clock, designed to wake you gently so that you start the day feeling invigorated. Whatever you’re in the market for, there will be some homeware goodies for you.
You can browse an array of gorgeous furnishings from a selection of expert home retailers. Get lost in home-ware heaven, with Habitat, Heals, Raft, Natuzzi, John Lewis and Partners, and Bo Concept. And in the spirit of taking a holistic approach to your wellbeing makeover, discover the wonders of a Blue Air Purifier and Adobe water filter system.
On May 21, Join Oliver Heath on his tour of the pop-up and Q&A session!
