Westfield is opening its doors again, ready to take you from sweatpants to sartorial chic.
After months of lockdowns and social restrictions, many of us have been pretty much permanently living in a rotation of pyjamas, joggers and fluffy dressing gowns. (And we just want to let you know that there is absolutely nothing wrong with that). But with the roadmap out of lockdown, comes a roadmap back to our social lives and all of a sudden we’ve got things to dress up for again. If it’s time to upgrade your wardrobe, don’t worry, because Westfield London (Shepherd’s Bush) and Westfield Stratford City are open again, and they’ve got you covered with fashion and beauty looks for every occasion.
Whether you’re gathering your group of six for an outdoor meet-up, booking a table at the nearest beer garden, or gearing up for the excitement of June 21 – Westfield has got all the style tips you need!
April 12
Yes, some things are opening up from April 12 – including Westfield London (Shepherd’s Bush) and Westfield Stratford City! But since we can still only socialise with our mates outdoors, we’re anticipating lots of walks and picnics. So, if you need some sensible (but still cute) shoes for all those walks you’re going on we recommend you pay a visit to ZARA or Monki. You might find some ankle boots or trainers that are perfect for a socially distanced stroll.
Restaurants and bars are allowed to open their outdoor spaces which means dinner, drinks, and beer gardens! But before you lose yourself in all the excitement, remember that this is London and you’re going to need layers. Hit up &Other Stories, COS or Club Monaco for a stellar selection of knitwear to keep you cosy at that terrace bar.
With all that time you’re spending outdoors, it’s important you don’t forget to keep your skin shielded from the elements! Slather on the sunscreen and don’t skimp on the moisturiser. Visit Deciem, Aesop, Kiehl’s, and Space NK for all your skincare needs.
May 17
Up to 30 people will be able to meet outdoors. And you know what that means? Garden parties. BBQs. Probably a wedding or two. Luckily, Westfield has you covered from casual looks to cocktail dresses. You’ll find chic garden party looks at American Vintage and Massimo Dutti. While Stradivarius and Monki serve up the perfect summer BBQ fits. And if you need to get a little fancier, just pay a visit to Claudie Pierlot or John Lewis & Partners.
Pubs and restaurants will be allowed to open their indoor dining areas, and we’ll also be able to see friends and family indoors, as long as we’re in groups of six or two households. Not to mention that cinemas, theatres and concert halls will also (finally) be able to open. And all this signals the return of two very important things: dinner parties and date nights. To prep your wardrobe, pay a visit to ARKET, Mango and ZARA. Whatever the dress code for your evenings, you’re guaranteed to find everything you need with this trifecta!
June 21
With the arrival of June 21 – perhaps the most hotly anticipated day of the year – it’s time to get your glad rags at the ready. This is the day when we hope to finally wave goodbye to the last of the social restrictions. Everything will be open again, and everyone will be celebrating.
Find chic party looks at Maje and John Lewis & Partners for every type of shindig. And, if you want to add a little extra sparkle to that, why not visit MAC and NARS for all your glittery and glamorous makeup needs.
