Are you a ramen lover? Are you also a student or apprentice? Then you’re likely always looking for ways to save your hard-earned money – but still enjoy plenty of noods! Well, you’re in luck, because wagamama has announced that they’re giving away free ramen to students and apprentices across the country next week.
The giveaway, which has been coined the ‘ramen rush’, will take place on Tuesday, March 28, at every single wagamama across the UK. Read on to find out how you can nab a free bowl of broth-y noodle-y goodness.
How to get some free ramen
First things first, wannabe ramen slurpers will have to sign up to the wagamama Noodle Union. Then, on March 28, the first 60 students or apprentices to turn up at a wagamama between 3 and 5pm will receive a free bowl of ramen.
That doesn’t, however, mean that only 60 Noodle Union members will get the free ramen. The promotion is running across all wagamama branches across the UK, with 60 bowls of free ramen at each one! That’s right, it’s not the first 60 people nationally, it’s the first 60 eligible people at each branch. And, yes, it does include the airport branches if you find yourself near one!
The promotion will only be available for dine-in – so if you’re lucky enough to nab some free ramen grab a seat and get to slurping! Winning diners will be able to choose from the grilled chicken ramen, chilli chicken ramen, or teriyaki vegan ‘chicken’ ramen.
Make sure to have your Noodle Union membership details ready (just show them the email!) and proof of your student or apprentice status.
The ramen giveaway at wagamama Camden
The rules for the giveaway will be a little different at wagamama’s Camden venue, where a special celebration will be taking place for the ‘ramen rush.’ The promotion will start at 11am at wagamama Camden – so make sure to get there nice and early for free ramen if they’re your local!
Additionally, the president of wagamama’s Nooodle Union, YouTube star Niko Omilana, will be making an appearance. The wagamama super-fan will be joining in with all the slurping action, and spreading the good word about the Noodle Union to students and apprentices.
Said Omilana:
““To celebrate and welcome our existing and new members, as the noodle union president I am proud to announce the ramen rush – a day to celebrate bowls of nourishment for the nation and maybe even a hello from me. Make sure to sign up to the noodle union so that you don’t miss out on a free ramen and other epic prizes throughout the year!”
What exactly is the Noodle Union?
You know how universities have Student Unions? Well, wagamama has the Noodle Union – specifically for students and apprentices. And members of the Noodle Union are rewarded with “a free drink + side upon the order of a main” throughout the month of March. And that kind of money-saving adds up – especially for cash-strapped folks!
Noodle Union members also have access to ongoing promotions and competitions, including the chance to win a year’s worth of wagamama, or a wagamama feast with the Noodle Union president himself. Past promotions within the Noodle Union have found wagamama, and Noodle Union president Niko Omilana, giving away “over 100 pairs of limited-edition golden chopsticks, thousands of katsu curries, and monthly prizes”.
The ‘ramen rush’ will take place on March 28. If you’re a student or apprentice, head down to wagamama for the chance at a free bowl of ramen.
