Now I know that we’ve, quite literally, only just flipped our calendars over to October. But – from where I’m standing, folks – November is already somewhat stealing its limelight. As much as I’m sure this month will be a lovely one; next month will see the likes of fireworks and festive fun descend upon the capital city. And that’s a pretty unbeatable combination, in my humble opinion. But if Christmas and Catherine Wheels don’t fill you to the brim with excitement (each to their own, I suppose), perhaps a tasty new taco joint will.
Next month will also mark the highly-anticipated arrival of Velvet Taco to the capital city. The beloved US taco chain is hopping across the pond (for the very first time ever) and setting up shop in London’s legendary Broadgate Circle, ready to fill the rumbling tummies of Londoners with some mouthwatering Mexican food.

Velvet Taco
Since swinging open the doors of its Dallas branch in 2011; Velvet Taco has spread across the states like guacamole. The new site in London, however, will be the very first outside of the USA, marking the beginning of the brand’s global expansion (and the start of its world taco-over). Renowned for its truly innovative menu; the taco tycoons are ready to well-and-truly level up London’s dining scene. And we’re really rather excited about it.
The food at Velvet Taco
Diners can expect to find a big, bold, and bloomin’ delicious menu at Velvet Taco. Known for taking pretty much any flavour you can think of and shoving it inside a taco; Velvet Taco has come to be beloved for its unique and creative fillings. Firm favourites on the US menu include the Fish ‘n Chips taco, the Spicy Tikka Chicken taco, and – of course – the ever-changing ‘WTF’ option (a new addition to the menu each week which is guaranteed to keep us on our toes).

Absolutely everything (including the sauces) is made in-house from scratch, so it’s all incredibly fresh and incredibly yummy. And whilst the tacos are, of course, the main event; the London location is also set to feature a fully-stocked bar, which’ll be serving up the likes of palomas, sangritas, and Velvet Taco’s signature ‘Kick Ass Margarita’. And we’re most certainly drink to that.
