We hate to break it to you, but it might be time to give up on those long afternoons in pub gardens and alfresco evening cocktails. Autumn is here. And, The London Art Bar is ready to welcome you into the warmth with glasses of prosecco, a paintbrush, and a whole lot of fun next month.
On October 7, the arty bar between Holborn and Chancery Lane will host a Vincent Van Gogh paint and sip night, themed around the famous Starry Night painting. Fueled by prosecco, cocktails and nibbles, you’ll have two and a half hours to recreate the masterpiece in your own style.
Whether you’re an absolute amateur or an undiscovered artistic genius, this Van Gogh paint and sip event is for all. While, of course, the aim is to paint a piece that somewhat resembles Van Gogh’s original works, Pop Up Painting sessions are also about having fun and meeting new people. You’ll be guided by an experienced artist, and have a Starry Night-themed playlist as the soundtrack to your evening.
The impactful works of Vincent Van Gogh have been getting a lot of love in the capital as of late, not least by Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience a few Tube stops away from The London Art Bar. Instead of creating your own piece, you can step into floor-to-ceiling, 360-degree recreations of these unforgettable masterpieces, admiring every brushstroke. There’s even a one-of-a-kind VR experience that takes you through a day in the life of the Dutch painter.
Back at the sip and paint event, all the art supplies are provided by The London Art Bar, and you’ll even get to take your finished canvas home. The question is, where will you hang it? A wide range of prosecco, cocktails and nibbles are available for purchase on the night to keep you going too. Check out the bar’s full range of Pop-up Painting events here, or book your spot at this one on their website.
