Love it, or hate it, Valentine’s Day is here! Perhaps you love being able to celebrate love, and spend time with loved ones. Perhaps you hate all it stands for and will be striking out with your friends to change the narrative of the night. Well, regardless of whether you’re celebrating or rallying against it, you could do with a cocktail, right? Take advantage of the special day and sip at these delectable Valentine’s Day cocktails to get you through February 14.

1. Alma Preciosa – COYA
COYA’s Valentine’s Day celebrations have found them partnering with British niche luxury fragrance brand, Thameen, for a carefully considered four course meal. Diners will get a sample of the brand’s new fragrance, Peregrina, while a special Valentine’s Day cocktail has found COYA’s mixologists takin inspiration from the brand’s fragrance, Insignia. The result, the Alma Preciosa, offers up citrus, floral, woody, and aromatic flavour notes that conjure up timeless elegance, much like the Insignia scent itself.
At COYA City, the Valentine’s Day Menu is available from February 9-14, while at COYA Mayfair it is available from February 14-18.

2. Lychee and Rose Petal Bellini – Babur
Those heading to Babur for their special three-course Valentine’s meal will be treated to a special welcome cocktail to whet the appetite. Bright, refreshing, and delicately floral, the cocktail will work wonderfully as a segue into the three courses of modern Indian food that range across regional cooking and the bolder styles of the subcontinent.

3. Lettre à Coco – LPM Restaurant & Bar
LPM has cooked mixed up a cocktail menu dedicated to toasting loved ones, inspired by the life of French poet and artist, Jean Cocteau. The Lettre à Coco, which takes inspiration from the unique friendship between Jean and Coco Chanel, includes Ketel One vodka, Champagne cordial, jasmine, bergamot, and rose. The whole experience is accented by the cocktail being delivered with a personal note spritzed with Chanel No 5, to reflect the notes of the drink.

4. The New Romantic – Swingers
With a name like that you can be sure that Swingers wasn’t about to avoid Valentine’s Day! But they’re keeping things squeaky clean with their The New Romantic cocktail, which blends together Chase Rhubarb and Bramley Apple Gin, Grand Marnier, strawberry purée, and lemon juice. They’ve even got a special deal where one costs £10, but buy two (for you and your beau – or just you and you) and it’ll only run you £16. Bargain! Get to swinging! (The golf clubs…)

5. Draw Back Your Bow – Discount Suit Company and The Umbrella Workshop
The Umbrella Project team have partnered up with Kyrö New Make Rye Spirit to offer up a sharer cocktail across their bars. The drink mixes up the small-batch Finnish liquor with Lingonberry Cordial, Fig Leaf Liqueur, and Rose Vermouth. Expect sweet and spiced flavours in a cocktail positively brimming with passion. The drink is also available online in a limited edition, Draw Back Your Bow Cocktail Gift Set, for a cocktail night in.

6. Cupido – Feels Like June
Brighten up your Valentine’s Day by heading to sunny California! Or, more realistically, by heading to the California-inspired eatery, Feels Like June. As part of their Valentine’s Day menu the bar team have designed a special sharing cocktail, the Cupido. With Pisco, Heering Cherry, strawberry, sage, rose water, vanilla syrup, and pink grapefruit, it’s a bright, refreshing concoction for “lovers, friends, or other dynamic duos”.

7. I Want Candy – Thin White Duke
Head to Thin White Duke for their Valentine’s Day party if the sight of loved-up couples makes you sick to your stomach. They’re hosting a 1960’s Valentine’s Spectacular with unmissable entertainment and plenty of delicious Valentine’s Day cocktails. Among them is the I Want Candy – a true love potion of rose, cardamom, and rum. Originally a New Year’s exclusive, it was too tempting for them to not bring it back.

8. Eros – Bacchanalia
Valentine’s Day will see Bacchanalia supplementing their a la carte menu with a premium Venus tasting menu from internationally renowned chef Athinagoras Kostakos. The meal comprises of sharing plates that range from Fine de Claire Oysters to Lobster Paccheri Pasta, Braised Veal, and more. But it’s the cocktail we’re interested in – the Eros, which they’ve paired with their white chocolate, lychee, and rose dessert, Aphrodite’s Touch. The drink itself is an exotic concoction of orange and cherry, sure to delight.

9. Shape of My Heart – Rake’s Café Bar
For devastatingly gorgeous Valentine’s Day cocktails, with equally impressive flavour, you’ll definitely want to check out Rake’s Café Bar’s offerings. Their Shape of My Heart combines gin, Lanique, lemon juice, and cranberry before being topped up with soda, peach, and jasmine. It’s floral, sweet (but not overly), and simply stunning to look at. 14. Kimiko – Florattica
You can’t go wrong with any of Florattica’s cocktail offering for Valentine’s Day, with every drink on the menu taking inspiration from florals and nature. Our pick of the lot? The Kimiko, their take on the classic Tuxedo cocktail, with cherry blossom liqueur, Japanese gin, Lillet Blanc, and absinthe. Dry and floral, it’s a delightful alternative to the often sweet Valentine’s Day cocktails that fill tables on the day.

There’s just something about great Italian food that always proves to be the best complement to a romantic evening. And at Piazza Italiana, they’re throwing great Valentine’s Day cocktails into the mix too. Their The Passione cocktail will entrance you from the very first sip. White rum, Camparai, Passoa liqueur, passionfruit syrup, pineapple juice, and fresh lime juice all come together for this gorgeous delight of a drink.

17. The Stage Muse – The Stage at The Londoner
Inspired by the latest fragrance from London Perfumer, Miller Harris, Myrica Muse, The Stage Muse mixes up gin, jasmine liqueur, citrus cordial, and jasmine tea infused with freeze-dried strawberries before being topped with Champagne. The notes of rose, red fruits, and jasmine, speak directly to the notes found in the perfume. Okay, so we’re cheating with this inclusion, but it simply has to be mentioned! There isn’t a specific cocktail at Coupe for Valentine’s Day, but there is a fantastic cocktail-involving deal.
