Tickets To The UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 Final At Wembley Stadium Sold Out After Just One Hour This Morning
For the second summer in a row, Wembley will host a packed out Euros final, after all the tickets for the Women's Euro 2022 final were snapped up in a heartbeat
Glastonbury tickets may have gone on sale last week but the Women’s Euro 2022 final are the real gold dust around these parts, with tickets to the Wembley event selling out in rapid fashion!
Breaking the attendance record for a women’s Euros match looks to be on the cards following this, after seats were swiped up in less than an hour for the final on July 31, 2022. 41,301 flocked to the Friends Arena in Stockholm for the 2013 final between Germany and Norway, which currently holds the record.
Northern Ireland v England at St Mary's, Southampton, on Friday 15 July in Group A has now also sold out. Expect many more games to follow suit #WEURO2022
In addition to this fantastic news, it’s also looking good for the support of the England team pushing for the title. Their group game against Northern Ireland on July 15 also sold out this morning, and many more are expected to follow suit.
England are the host nation for the first time in a European Championship competition since 2005, making this the second time since the tournament’s 1984 inception. After two runners-up finishes in the first ever tournament and in 2009, the team will be hoping for its best ever finish, with a home crowd behind them.
Last summer, the England Men’s team made it to the final at Wembley stadium, missing out to Italy in heartbreaking fashion as they bowed out on penalties. The England Women’s team will be hoping to go one better in front of a packed out Wembley Stadium, and you can catch all the action this summer from July 6 – 31.
This summer’s tournament was due to be played in August last year, but after the rescheduling of the Olympics and the Euro 2020 men’s competition, the UEFA Women’s Euros was moved to summer 2022.
