The year’s sweetest summer pop-up comes courtesy of Treats Club.
Taking the “treat yo’self” maxim to its most delectably conclusion, the good folks of Treats Club are launching their first-ever summer pop-up on August 12th – and for those with a sweet tooth, it sounds like perfection. For what the menu may lack in variety, it more than makes up for in deliciousness.
Check this: doughnuts, soft serve, crunchy toppings, all layered atop one another. Yes, yes, and yes please. First, the doughnuts; arriving in flavours such as biscoff caramel brownie, vanilla funfetti, and the dangerously-excellent sounding chocolate blackout. If you like, you can stop there, but I know you’re going to want to add a dollop of soft-serve ice cream atop that holey treat.
Thankfully, ice cream flavours such as cornflake milk and strawberry fruity pebbles will be on hand to liberally cover your doughnuts in frozen magic. Treats Club will then add toppings including marshmallow fluff, salted caramel sauce, buttered digestive crumb, and honeycomb, for the full sugar overload. And the best bit is that every dish is under £6, so they won’t break the bank (seriously, no excuse to not feast).
Subtle it may not be, but we’re already drooling at the thought of all that indulgence. The Treats Club pop-up will also serve sundaes along with their doughnut towers, and they’ve committed to make half the available doughnut flavours vegan. Plus, with everything handcrafted in house, it’s basically healthy, right?
Find Treats Club beneath the Old Street Roundabout from August 12th until September 7th. They’re open 7:30am-7pm (Mon to Fri) and 12-6pm (weekends), whilst you can also spot them at Lloyd Park Market (Walthamstow) on Saturdays and Chatsworth Road Market (Homerton) on Sundays.
