How well do you know the stories of the fateful RMS Titanic passengers? Whether the answer is a lot or a little, we guarantee there’s plenty more to be discovered with a ticket to Titanic: The Exhibition. Focusing on the real histories of the voyage and the stories of the passengers, this emotive exhibition at Dock X in Surrey Quays will put you at the heart of the tragedy with cabin reconstructions, over 200 original artefacts, and moving testimonies from those who survived the sunken ship. The artefacts in this riveting exhibition have never before been showcased in the UK. The exhibition, which was so successful that it had its open dates extended earlier this year, will be coming to a close on April 17.
As you stroll through the exhibition‘s eight rooms, you’ll be transported back to April 1912. Award-winning events producer, Musealia, have created life-size replicas of a humble third-class cabin, and opulent first-class suite, as well as bringing together pages of intimate diary entries, precious jewellery, and clothing belonging to passengers. A dynamic audio guide will further bring history to life over 100 years later by accompanying these personal objects with music and sound effects. There are just a few weeks left to see these objects for yourself…
Titanic: The Exhibition tickets start at as little as £19.90 for adults and £11.50 for children (fun fact: you’ll find the best ticket deals when booking for a Monday – how’s that for #MondayMotivation?). Due to the exhibition’s earlier success, it is open daily (previously, it was closed on Tuesdays). There’s even a ‘first-class’ option, which includes fast-track access on the day, a souvenir photograph and commemorative exhibition booklet.
