Want to find out a bit more about what The Whisky House has to offer? Of course, you do! The Whisky House boasts three unique spaces offering different experiences for guests to explore: The Malts Locker at Nola’s, the Whiskey Rock’N’Roller at Sweetwater and various Drinks at Home masterclasses and Crucible talks at Goods Way.
At the heart of the Whisky House you’ll find The Malts Locker – a hidden homage to rare malts and some of the most exceptional whiskies. For one month only, guests are invited to a once-in-a lifetime tasting experience with Talisker Single Malt Whisky at Nola’s, a beautiful bar in Goods Way. Visitors to The Malts Locker will be able to sample special release malts, taste whisky flights, create their own Scotch Fashioned, and enjoy an array of delicious whisky cocktails alongside food from Pomelo and Sushi on Jones. Book your tickets here.
Elsewhere in the Whisky House you’ll find a taste of the old fashioned South at the Whiskey Rock’N’Roller – home to Bulleit Bourbon, Roe & Co Irish Whiskey, and Guinness. Step back in time into this Prohibition style bar in Sweetwater for the ultimate table-side experience. You’ll get to enjoy whiskey, beer and classic cocktails from an inventive menu, embark on a bespoke taste adventure with the Bulleit Boiler Maker Flavour Exploration, and even print your own face on a pint of Guinness! And if you’re feeling peckish there’s food on offer too from the likes of Sushi on Jones, Breddos Tacos and Pomelo. Book a table here.
Finally, you’ve got to visit the Goods Way auditorium which is hosting various World Class ‘Drinks at Home’ masterclasses throughout the month. For those who want to perfect their cocktail creations at home this event series with Ketel One Vodka, Tanqueray Gin and Johnnie Walker is not to be missed. The world’s best bartenders will be revealing all the skills, tips, tricks and techniques that go into making the perfect drink. Find out more and get tickets here.
And don’t worry if you can’t make these masterclasses in person – World Class is working with London Cocktail Week and luxury drinks delivery service, Cocktail Porter, to deliver cocktail kits to your door! You’ll be able to follow along at home with an online masterclass and create your own delicious Ketel One Espresso Martinis, Johnnie Walker Highballs and Tanqueray Grapefruit Collins all from the comfort of your kitchen! Find out more and get your cocktail kit here.
Meanwhile, each Monday evening throughout October, you can watch a live stream from the auditorium at Goods Way, showcasing an evening of drinks and unexpected knowledge from the flavour scientists at Crucible. These cabaret-style sessions allow guests to dive deep into the world of cocktails and spirits covering topics such as fermentation, distillation and the mechanics of taste. Want to know why Marmite has a love it or hate it flavour? You can learn all about that and more at these Crucible Presents: The Lowdown sessions.
