While London in general is an incredible city for food, there are certain areas that really stand out for their culinary offerings. One such area is East London’s Hackney, which is home to some of the city’s most popular and celebrated restaurants. And this February, an enormous Restaurant Festival is inviting Londoners to come see what all the fuss is about with some cut-price meals. Some of the participating venues are slashing costs by as much as 40%!
Running throughout February, the festival has a dual-pronged benefit. It provides an affordable chance for Londoners to try some of the area’s most popular spots. But it also gives people an extra reason to visit local restaurants during one of the hospitality industry’s quietest months of the year. You get cheap(er) food, and the restaurants get customers. It’s a win-win!

The Restaurant Festival, Hackney
Hackney’s cult live-fire restaurant, Acme Fire Cult, has joined forces with dining app EatClub for the Restaurant Festival. The Acme team has curated a selection of the borough’s best restaurants for a month-long celebration of the area’s food. And there’s a wealth of cuisines on offer for foodies to chow down on.
Participating spots include everything from an ultra-popular Mexican restaurant, taqueria, and cocktail bar to an upmarket Ocakbaşı grill, a small plates eatery (of course, it is Hackney after all), and more. Among the restaurants taking part in the Restaurant Festival are:
- Acme Fire Cult
- Corrochio’s
- Big Night
- Mangal 2
- Papi
- Tom’s Pasta
- Alber’s
- My Neighbours the Dumplings
- Sune
- Oren
- Marksman Public House
- Mambow
- Lucia’s
- Berber & Q
with even more restaurants still to be announced.

And it couldn’t be easier to see the deals and enjoy the discounts. Simply download the EatClub app (it’s free!) and have a scroll through the participating restaurants. Pick where you’d like to go, and you can enjoy 40% off at selected times throughout February.
When it comes time to eat, just rock up, pay via the app, and enjoy!
