It’s been more than two years since the second season left us clamouring for more, and now The Mandalorian season three has finally dropped on Disney+ today (March 1).
As the trailer for the heavily-anticipated third installment of The Mandalorian confirms: yes, we will be seeing more of Grogu aka Baby Yoda. Watch below.
Which characters are returning for the Mandalorian Season Three?
If you can’t wait till this evening, when work is over and you can press that big red button on your remote for some sweet Grogu content, let’s tell you about what else you can expect from the grand return of The Mandalorian.
Other returning characters include the return of Din Djarin (aka THE Mandalorian), played by none other than Pedro Pascal, who you’ll also no doubt be following the journey of in smash adaptation The Last Of Us. Here he’s back to jetting round the galaxies after his foray into fending off zombies.
Bo-Katan Kryze, played by Katee Sackhoff is also coming back, meaning the trouble over the Darksaber with Din could be on the cards. Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) is also back to continue his ominous role in a bigger way.
There’s still some doubt over whether Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) will return, so let’s watch that space from this week.
What can we expect from the Mandalorian?
A synopsis on the new season says: “The journeys of The Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu.
“Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.”
