Some films are just classics. No matter how often we watch them, they provide pure comfort and a sense of everything being right in the world. Now, imagine you could indulge in your favourite film in a brand-new way. We’re not talking about just watching them, but eating them too. Yep, Taste Film has taken immersive film screenings and elevated them to eat-along film screenings in London, and we’re SO on board.
Taste Film, which has venues in both Kensal Green and Moorgate, makes film-watching totally immersive: it’s a dining experience, it’s a film-watching experience, and it’s a lot of fun.
So, how exactly does Taste Film work?
Taste Film screens some of the most loved blockbusters at Parlour in Kensal Green, and The Refinery in the Citypoint building, Moorgate. These eateries provide the perfect setting to settle down for a few hours, and get comfy for an intimate screening. However, forget the bog-standard popcorn; here, you’ll be served a terrific three-course meal themed to the film, plus two drinks (alcoholic options included).
The immersive experience offers vegan and gluten-free menu options per film, plus non-alcoholic drinks, so most dietary requirements are catered for. All you need to do is roll up to the venue 30 minutes before your showing starts and come with an appetite for good food and good entertainment.
What films can I see with Taste Film?
This side of the new year, Taste Film is showing some real Christmas classics in London: Love Actually (2003) and Home Alone 2 (1992). You can find out more directly on their website, or even bag a loved one a gift card to enjoy the immersive eat-along as a Christmas gift.
Looking into 2025 – hey, we need something to look forward to after the revelry and joy of Christmas – some familiar favourites will be getting the Taste Film treatment in London:
