While the terms ‘scoop’ and ‘Fleet Street’ used to only mean an investigative reporter uncovering a tasty front page story, they’re now being thrown together in an altogether different (but still delicious) manner.
Fleet Street Quarter is teaming up with street food connoisseurs KERB+ to bring a brand new weekly food market to Fleet Place, complete with a rotating lineup of stalls every Thursday between 11:30am – 2:30pm from August 3.
Tell us about the free food!
Yes, your eyes did not deceive you – there is free street food up for grabs. To celebrate the launch of the new venture, the street food hub is giving away 100 free meals to the first people who turn up to the brand new market.
It may open just before you’re used to grabbing a bite, but if you’re offered a free lunch, you take it no matter what time it starts, right? All you’ll need to do is turn up and find a member of staff wearing a KERB+ voucher t-shirt, and you’ll be able to redeem your voucher (if you’re one of the first 100 to arrive, that is).
While there’s not yet word on the type of food we can expect in the first six stands, previous KERB+ ventures have included the likes of Pizza Pilgrims, Truffle Burger, and Bao, so who knows? You might just try the next big thing in the world of street food.
While there might be no free offer on the following Thursdays, there will now always be a delicious and rotating set of food options over at the Fleet Street Quarter every week.
KERB+ Fleet Place opens every Thursday at 11:30am – 2:30pm from August 3, with a rotating set of six stands. Find out more about KERB+ here.
