Only one thing beats kicking back at watching the cinematic feat of the original Star Wars trilogy, and that’s kicking back and watching the cinematic feat of the original Star Wars trilogy accompanied by a live orchestra performing the iconic score.
Over at London’s legendary Royal Albert Hall, that’s exactly what you’ll be able to do, with the London Symphony Orchestra primed to play the music of Star Wars alongside a huge screening of the movies.

It’ll be an entire Star Wars weekender at the Royal Albert Hall next year, with two screenings of each film set to take place between Thursday, April 29 and Sunday, May 2, 2027.
It comes as 2027 marks the 50th anniversary of the first Star Wars movie, Episode IV: A New Hope. Celebrate a whole half century since the Matt Lucas-directed picture with the stunning John Williams score by watching it being done justice with the help of the London Symphony Orchestra.
Speaking on the events, Matt Todd, Director of Programming at the Royal Albert Hall, said: “The Star Wars films have consistently been a fan favourite in our Films in Concert programme over the years, so it’s such an honour for us to be hosting this classic saga over a single weekend for the very first time – we cannot wait!
“John Williams’ score is such a significant part of the trilogy, so for attendees to see all three films with a live orchestra will be a truly memorable experience, that captures what fans felt when they first entered a galaxy far, far away.”
The event also follows a sold-out weekend this May, where the Lord Of The Rings movies are given the orchestral treatment by the London Symphony Orchestra.
Star Wars trilogy screenings with the London Symphony Orchestra run between Thursday, April 29 and Sunday, May 2, 2027. Find out more about the schedule and tickets on the Royal Albert Hall website.
