Cloak and dagger will be your best friends at SPYSCAPE and SPYGAMES. The top-rated immersive spy museum from New York will cross the pond under the cover of darkness and set up shop here in London’s Covent Garden on May 30. Slip on your sunnies and trench coat, brush up on your code-breaking skills and perfect your poker face, these two exciting experiences consist of brain-twisting tests, games and challenges in which you can learn the art of deception. Sounds like James Bond will have some competition…
What can you expect from SPYSCAPE?
Well, for one thing, it’s not just SPYSCAPE. While that may be the name of the museum and one of the experiences – there’s also another experience called SPYGAMES, suited for those of you who are perhaps more of a team-orientated Ethan Hunt than a lone wolf-esque James Bond. To clear things up, here’s what you can expect from each thrilling escapade…
SPYSCAPE
SPYSCAPE is a 90-minute experience combining immersive storytelling and authentic espionage history that was developed with top spies and psychologists. You’ll be plunged into the thick of a high-stakes mission as you attend a briefing, learn the art of lie detection, try out code-making (and breaking), and delve into the history of real hackers and spies – you’ll even get to peruse the rare gadgets they used.
Mission accomplished? At the end, you’ll receive an interactive debrief and detailed personal profile, where you’ll discover exactly what kind of spy you are and which espionage roles you’d be suited for in the real world. We might need to warn MI6 to expect an influx of calls.
SPYGAMES
Never one to leave a man behind? Think you have what it takes to train like a spy? This 50-minute experience is for you – and your friends. Designed by Special Ops and the CIA, SPYGAMES combines the physicality, teamwork skills and analytical mindset required of a spy. So, make sure you put on your trainers and thinking caps.
In teams of 2-5, you’ll tackle active high-tech game zones. Not only will you work out interactive cyphers, put your precision skills to the test and clamber along walls Spiderman-style, but you’ll also be able to compete with other teams to become top of the leaderboard. This is your chance to show off those action moves that will have people whispering “Jesus Christ, it’s Jason Bourne”…
SPYSCAPE first opened its doors in New York City in 2018 and has since gone on to be the number one-rated museum and experiences in the city. Now, London will get to explore its tactical treasures and you get your chance to step into the shoes of a covert agent. It’s a fascinating insight into a world drenched in mystery – basically the opposite of a Black Site. Whether you’re a sharp-witted Jack Ryan or more of a chaos-magnet Slow Horse, these experiences will uncover the truth. Finished? This message will self-destruct in the next five seconds.
