Living in a city where the average cost of a cocktail resembles that of a small mortgage; there are very few things that I find more satisfying than scoping out a really good drinks deal. And if you’re even a tiny bit as passionate as I am about bagging a bargain, you’re most definitely going to want to hear this.
Simmons in Soho is officially letting the good times aper-roll this summer with the arrival of its shiny new Spritz Stop. The picture-perfect pastel-pink hole in the wall is serving up freshly-poured spritzes straight out onto the pavement, meaning that Londoners can serenely sip their spritzes in the sunshine without having to face the queues at the bar inside. Oh, and the very best part? They only cost £5.
Soho’s Spritz Stop
Set into the street-facing side of the building, this thirst-quenching window offers Londoners the chance to fast-track their drinks ordering experience. Well, as long as their drink of choice is an Aperol, a Hugo, or a Sarti spritz, that is. The Spritz Stop at Simmons Soho (blimey, try saying that after you’ve knocked back a few of them) is open daily from 3pm until 8pm, offering 5 glorious hours of £5 spritzes.
This rather heavenly hatch will be open all summer long. So despite the fact that the weather in London seems to be experiencing somewhat of an identity crisis, the Spritz Stop will be right there waiting for us when the sun decides to grace us with its presence again. And we will most certainly drink to that.
You’ll find the Spritz Stop at Simmons Soho, 2 Bateman Street, W1D 4AE. It’s open daily between 3pm and 8pm and the nearest station is Tottenham Court Road.
