Fill your face with fondue in picture-perfect snow globes overlooking the Thames at Jimmy’s Winter Lodge.
As we approach the colder months, cosy bars and pop-ups tend to start appearing left, right and centre. But we’re not complaining, because winter generally equates to hot toddies and melted cheese. 2020 wasn’t the most festive of years, so we’re more than ready to welcome our favourite Christmas traditions and activities back in 2021, including Jimmy’s Winter Lodge!
This November, Jimmy’s Winter Lodge is returning with its impressive, Thames-side Alpine pop-up, including those infamous (or rather, Insta-famous), magical snow globes. Groups of up to 10 people can take refuge in the cosy, heated igloos, while enjoying a special three-course winter sample menu. Tuck into Alpine fondue, nibble on mixed charcuterie boards, and try their mighty hot stone-cooked steak. Due to high demand, groups must book their private globes in advance, which you can do here.
There’s also a heated Chalet Alpine Bar serving up winter warmers (hot apple Mojitos!), and a downstairs takeaway Lodge Grill, where guests can order festive street food rather than having a sit-down meal. The line-up there includes delicious treats like the Raclette Burger, wild boar hot dogs, and many more.
The winter lodge is the perfect spot for Christmas get togethers and festive outings, whether you settle down for a meal or just grab a hot drink at the bar after a stroll along the South Bank Winter Market‘s food stalls.
Find Jimmy’s Winter Lodge along the South Bank from November 5 to January 9, 2022. Find more info and book your snow globe here.
Here’s what to expect when the South Bank Winter Market returns in November!
