Fill your face with fondue in these cosy snow globes overlooking the Thames.
As we approach the colder months, wintery things are starting to pop up left, right and centre. But we’re not complaining, because that means plenty of hot toddies and melty cheese.
Following his summer BBQ pop-up, Jimmy Garcia is swapping marshmallows and s’mores for bubbling fondue and charcuterie. Within a cosy Alpine lodge on the Southbank, complete with stunning views of the London skyline, guests can dine on mulled wine-cured salmon and hot cheese, all surrounded by rustic wooden walls and twinkling fairy lights.
Jimmy’s Lodge will have two floors; the upstairs dedicated to a sit down fondue restaurant, and the ground floor dedicated to tasty street food, including raclette burgers and wild boar hot dogs. Outside, there will be a heated riverside bar serving up hot toddies and cocktails to keep you toasty. Hot apple mojitos, anybody?
Beside the lodge you’ll find four beautiful snow globes made for a more private dining experience, each seating 6-10 people. Tuck into traditional Alpine fondue with new potatoes, charcuterie and bread, or treat yourself to the Côte de Boeuf to share. Meanwhile, you can admire amazing views across the Thames.
Jimmy’s Lodge will appear on the Southbank from November 10th until December 31st. You can book here.
