There’s a lot to look forward to when we celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this summer: an extra bank holiday, an exciting line-up of events and festivities, and a beautiful flower garden that will be planted in the Tower of London’s moat this spring. To add just a touch of fun on top of all that, it has now been revealed that a giant slide will be installed for the special occasion — taking adventurous visitors straight into the sea of flowers.
Slide into #TowerSuperbloom!
Grab your mat, pick a lane and glide down into the flowers 🌻🌼🌷
Thanks to our friends @ClivedenNT for passing on a slide which fits the moat perfectly ♻

To give you a better idea of the scene, ‘Superbloom’ will transform the Tower’s moat with a vibrant field of flowers, set to blossom from June until September 2022. In the spring, 20 million seeds will be planted strategically, creating new patterns of colour throughout the summer months. Superbloom will also feature sound installations and sculptural elements to “draw visitors in and make you feel at home amongst the bees and butterflies”.
You do need tickets to enter the multi-sensory attraction, but they will give you access to a rather unique way of entering: Upon arrival, you can grab a mat and head down a giant, four-lane slide which will take you right into the moat. That alone is well worth the ticket if you ask us!
Here is a little sneak peek of what you can expect:
