For many, sending handwritten postcards and love letters can feel like a thing of the past in this digital day and age when sending a message to anyone in the world is as easy as. But you have to admit, there’s something utterly timeless and charming about sending a handwritten postcard or letter to a loved one that any message on a screen simply does not have.
Well, this festive period, the chic French clothing brand Sézane hopes to reinject some of the magic of handwritten notes with their Christmassy pop-up held in the heart of Covent Garden, against the backdrop of the stunning newly lit Christmas tree.
Guests are able to send a postcard of love for free at the pop-up’s adorable post office named Amour Postal to spread love and cheer to any corner of the world. How does it work? Simply choose from a selection of limited-edition postcards created by Sézane artists, write a heartfelt message to someone close to your heart and add their address, pop it through the ‘letterbox’ and Sézane will take care of the rest. With Christmas nearing, sending a handwritten postcard is the perfect way to spread some festive joy to any loved one, no matter where they are in the world – whether they live across the world or just down the street.
The pop-up, which is on until November 29, is also complete with a knitwear gallery that’s got cosy jumpers and cardigans galore and a Sézane Café where visitors can grab a hot drink to keep warm and some sweet treats. What’s more, the pop-up has a fun little lottery game where visitors will be in with the chance to win some gorgeous pre-Christmas gifts.
The pop-up is on Monday through Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm, Sunday from 12 pm to 6 pm and can be found in Covent Garden’s East Piazza.
