When Sephora opened in Westfield Shepherd’s Bush earlier this year, there was a huge collective gasp (the beauty store hadn’t been seen around these parts since 2005!) followed by a rush out to the opening day queue.
Those invested in makeup products will tell you that the French store is one of the finest palaces in town for a trolley dash, and after staying away from the British Isles for 17 years, Sephora is now opening a second London location.
It’ll be their second makeup mansion in the UK since their grand return, and they’re clearly big fans of one department store, as the sophomore Sephora site will be hitting Westfield Stratford next month.
If you’re passing through the east London shopping haven on November 15 and see a queue going around several corners, don’t question it. Sephora is the culprit.
What can we expect from the new Sephora store?
Much like the Shepherd’s Bush outpost, the pampering paradise will be stocked up with all the beauty products you could ask for, and more. 125 different brands can be found inside the new Stratford store, spanning from skincare to makeup to perfume to makeup to hair products.
Following on from the west London branch, Stratford’s Sephora will have a ‘Grand Beauty Hub, where you can sit down with professionals for a touch up on your makeup, a new hairstyle, or skin treatment.
Speaking on the opening, Sephora Chief Executive Sarah Boyd said: “We are so grateful for the welcome we have received from our fans in the UK. Their response to our White City opening blew us away and far exceeded our expectations.”
You wait 17 years, with only the small comfort of online shopping options to keep your blues at bay, then, all of a sudden, we have two real-life Sephora destinations to browse through. Safe to say we should all be pretty made up at this news.
